The first White Lord of Hogwarts - Chapter 52
“Ivan Ambrosius.”
Hearing Snape point to him, Ivan nodded slightly, his attitude neither humble nor arrogant
“Another celebrity.”
Snape said nothing more. He finished calling the roll and then looked up at the class.
His eyes were dark, and the indifference and emptiness in them reminded people of two dark tunnels.
“You are here to learn the precise science and rigorous craft of potion making.
Snape’s voice was barely above a whisper, but everyone heard every word he said.
His aura was so strong that he could effortlessly keep the classroom in order just by standing there.
“Since there is no silly waving of magic wands here, many of you will not believe that this is magic.”
“I do not expect you to truly appreciate the beauty of the simmering crucible with white smoke and bursts of fragrance, nor do you really understand the magical power of the liquid flowing into people’s veins to make people’s hearts and minds wander.……”
“I can teach you how to improve your reputation, create glory, and even prevent death – but there must be one condition, that is, you are not the kind of fools I often encounter.”
After he finished his short opening remarks, the whole class was silent.
Harry and Ron raised their eyebrows and exchanged glances.
Hermione Granger almost moved to the edge of the chair and leaned forward, as if eager to prove that she was not a fool.
Only Ivan was still calmly waiting for Snape to lose his temper.
He knew the other person’s character very well.
With Harry in front of him to attract fire, Ivan only had to watch the show silently.
Snape didn’t hate celebrities, he just hated Harry Potter.
“Potter!”
As Ivan expected, Snape asked impatiently,”What will I get if I add narcissus root powder to wormwood infusion?”
What kind of root powder should be put into what solution?
Harry glanced at Ron, who was stunned like him.
Hermione, who was sitting next to Ivan, subconsciously wanted to raise her hand, but the little witch suddenly remembered Ivan’s warning.
Ivan?
Hermione looked at Ivan, who shook his head slightly at her.
So, resisting the desire to answer and get extra points, Hermione could only turn her eyes to Harry, waiting for his answer.
“I don’t know, sir.”
Harry had no idea what was going on. He could feel Snape’s malice, and he didn’t like this dark, cold professor whose hair seemed to have never been washed in his life.
“Tsk, tsk.”
Snape curled his lips in contempt:”It seems that fame is not everything.”
“Let’s try again.”
Snape:”Potter, if I ask you to find me a bezoar, where would you find it?”
Harry was silent again. He had no idea what a bezoar was.
Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle, who were sitting not far away, were laughing so hard that they were shaking all over.
Especially Malfoy, if he hadn’t cared about Snape’s face, he would have immediately sprayed Harry.
“I don’t know, sir.”
“I suppose you haven’t read a single book before the start of term, have you, Potter?”
Harry forced himself to look straight into his cold eyes.
When he was at the Dursleys’, he had indeed read all the books.
But could Snape ask him to memorize the contents of”One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi”?
Is that something a human could do?
Hermione: Yes, I can.
“Potter, what is the difference between Aconitum naviculatum and Aconitum chamaejasme?”
“I don’t know.”
This blatant targeting made Harry angry.
He stared at Snape unwillingly, and the latter looked at those emerald green eyes with nostalgia. (To read the exciting novel, go to Faloo Novel Network!)
Just thinking of this annoying face similar to that guy, Snape was furious.
“How could this happen?”
Hermione couldn’t bear to watch it any longer. She whispered in Ivan’s ear:”Does he have a grudge against Harry?””
Harry Potter is the savior of the wizarding world.
I don’t know how many wizards and witches would show respect and gratitude to Harry when they see him.[]
However, Hermione couldn’t understand Snape’s attitude.
Was he jealous of Harry?
Was that true?
“You answer it!”
Snape heard Hermione’s question, and he looked back like a venomous snake, asking Hermione to answer his question.
“”Poof!”
Seeing this scene, Ivan couldn’t help laughing.
For a moment, the whole audience was silent, and even Snape frowned.
“Sorry, Professor.”
Ivan coughed lightly:”I thought of something happy.”
Ivan really didn’t expect Snape to cause trouble for Hermione.
“Professor!”
Seeing this, Hermione was afraid that Snape would point the finger at Ivan, so she quickly replied:”Narcissus root powder and wormwood can be combined to make a very effective sleeping pill, which is a dose of life and death water.”
“Fecal stone is a kind of stone taken from the stomach of goats, which has a strong detoxification effect.”
“As for Aconitum naviculatum and Aconitum wolfsbane, they are the same plant, also collectively known as Aconitum.”
Hermione’s answer was almost exactly the same as the description in the Potions class.
Snape seemed a little dissatisfied with this.
He didn’t know much about Hermione’s situation, but he heard from other professors that this year an amazing little wizard (Ivan) came, who was a descendant of the legendary Merlin.
Merlin…
Snape sneered at this: it was just a boring myth.
So, Snape, who failed to get back on his feet, asked Hermione a few more questions.
The little witch answered very fluently, and she gave the standard answer almost as soon as Snape asked.
“It seems that compared to some people, the witch lady who can memorize the whole book is better.”
Snape said sarcastically:”At least in terms of rote memorization, it is worth learning for some people.”
“……”
This made Hermione, who was expecting Snape to give her extra points, very unhappy.
Unfortunately, the little witch was not good at contradicting the professor.
“Sit down!”
Snape asked Hermione to sit down with dissatisfaction. He glanced at Ivan who seemed to be watching a play.
He didn’t like Ivan’s eyes.
However, for some reason, Snape was reluctant to provoke this strange little wizard.
He couldn’t explain this feeling.
It was like a poisonous snake smelling the scent of a beast and knowing that the other party was very difficult to mess with.
It was not worth it to confront it when there was no benefit.
